I read quite a few comments here concerning the Hotel Villa Edera, and after staying there three nights, I would like to give my opinion: - Location is ideal: five minute walk to the Lido SME boat station, from where San Marco is a 15 minute ride. Plenty of restaurants also within a ten minute walk, much cheaper and friendlier than in Venice. - The hotel is worth the money. Yes, the rooms and the shower are small, but you aren't here to stay in your room. There are so many things to discover out there. Staff is very kind, the street is calm, the garden nice, and the breakfast very good for Italy. A few tips: - From the airport, buy a return ticket with Alilaguna to get to Lido in one hour. Then buy a pass with the public boat company ACTV to move around Venice and the surrounding islands. - Forget Murano, except for the Museo del Vetro. But don't miss Burano, a really charming and colourful village. - If you want to visit the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, don't just turn up. You really need to buy a ticket in advance. - A good restaurant in Venice: 6342 A le tole.

I have been resting on the Lido for more than a year. I can say that the price offer of the hotel meets all the stated criteria. Breakfast has everything you need. for a complete breakfast. Separately, it can be noted that there was always a delicious, freshly baked Italian pie with berries, cottage cheese, biscuit, various fruits. The toaster was not very convenient and it was problematic to toast the bread. The coffee machine dispensed coffee in small portions, it was impossible to have a full cup at once. Everything else met the basic requirements for breakfast, everything was enough, the workers quickly replenished what they had eaten. The room is small but cozy and quiet. We could sleep with the windows open, with the air conditioner turned off. There was no noise.

It is close to the sea bus stop that connects the Lido to Venice. It is close to the main street which is full of restaurants and Gelaterias. It is close to Lido Beach. At the same time, it is located on a quiet and green street. The hotel itself also has a courtyard where breakfast is available. My room was not big, but it was tastefully decorated and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The cooling system worked very well. And Most importantly, the hotel staff are kind, friendly and helpful.

Hotel Villa Edera, located on the island of Lido, was a quiet refuge from the busyness of Venice. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and the decor added a cosy welcoming feel. We had a wonderful breakfast every morning. There were many restaurants in the area within walking distance, and it was so easy to take the water buses to any part of the Venice area. We really enjoyed our evening walks in the Lido area after spending busy days in Venice. We would highly recommend staying there.

The hotel has a great atmosphere because it is a bit older but seems well maintained. The breakfast was very good. My gf has gluten intolerance which we communicated at the time of booking. They promptly responded and provided her, every morning, with a variety of glutenfree alternatives. This was much appreciated. The staff was friendly and the room was good. We enjoyed our stay very much.
